North Miami duo

Yea the players already visited UCF this past weekend. They are quarterback Nico Flores and athlete Kemal Ishmael. UCF is supposedly at the top of their list.

North Miami NOT North Miami Beach

Flores and Ishmael are at FIU this weekend.

Re: North Miami NOT North Miami Beach

Nico and Kemal are from North Miami Beach HS, not from North Miami HS. The two visitors to FAU as per that story by Mark are from North Miami HS. Nico Flores, and Kemal are actually visiting FIU this weekend. The two visitors to FAU are Randell Johnson and Nexon Dorvilus.

Stars are misleading. Rusty Smith didn't have a star next to his name, and he's the second best quarterback in the state of Florida. I'm pretty sure if the recruits we got weren't quality, they would be on the list.

Wow, the stats on rivals has your recruiting class at 120/127. Even FIU is ahead of you. You guys better get that stadium built quick so you can pull in some big recruits.

1. I don't know who you speak of, but I never go crazy over stars.

2. Seriously, you just named Weatherford, Grothe, and Ponder? A third stringer and two QB's who apparently can't put up good numbers in their own conference. Heh.

3. And last time I check, without any five star recruits, we won two bowl games. Two more than some schools.

Well why do you guys blow your load when you have a verbal 3-star commitment. Those QB's I mentioned are much better than Smith. Smith puts up big numbers in the Sun Belt, WOW. Also, I would rather have an on campus stadium than 2 bowl wins, especially when they are scape bottom bowls. Try playing an SEC team in a bowl. At least we don't have to play in Lockhart, yuck.

Most FAU fans dont go "nuts" over a 3 star recruit that Ive seen. Im happy to get them but I dont loose any sleep if someone in some office rates a kid or doesnt rate a kid.

HS brings out the best in the players he recruits and does find those Gems.

You cant argue with his results in bowl games, The man KNOWS how to coach a team.

I agree with Lockhart, its a pit but its what we have. The OCS cant come soon enough.

Check the North Texas board, many of them would EAGERLY trade having the best or 2nd best recruiting class for 1 co-championship and 2 back to back bowl games. Ill take results on the field over a "perceived" ranking on recruits any time.

I'm not sure if Smith is the second best QB in Florida or not but he puts up good numbers against tough defenses (FLorida, USF) and it looks like he is pretty big too.
I've been following UCF recruiting for a while now and I still get excited about 3 star recruits. Good luck to FAU(until you play UCF).

Congratulations on your Bowl Wins. You can put me in the group who will swap stars for bowl wins. Bowl wins are good for your program and good for the Sun Belt. Of course with program stability and good recruiting classes you have built teams good enough to win bowls.

Now that our program has stabilized with our new AD and coach, we are doing a better job recruiting and are starting to see results.

Look forward to meeting you next year in the "Don Shula Bowl".

By the end of February most of the schools have recruited 20-30 kids. From last year's class how many were you able to redshirt and how did the true freshmen you played perform? We did fairly well last year and were also able to redshirt some pretty good players.

I'm fairly certain that we redshirted all of last year's recruiting class. I don't recall seeing any true freshmen playing this past season.
